this will be the second time kneecaps have been on PG. what was once a three-piece is now a 4-piece...from the uk. black hair is an album that ties in every aspect of a record straight outta the 60s/garage/rock movement. my personal favorite is pain. the outro is wild...listen for yourself

La Urss - Maravillas Del Mundo

of course if you've been following me via tumblr (mostly likely not, but whatever) you'd know that i've been on such "listen to all things from Spain" kick. Welp, La URSS fits that criteria.  La urss are a 4-piece punk  band from andalucia. you can tell by the very first listen how much this band maintains a diy-oriented spanish punk vibe throughout the entire record. fast-paced songs.  politically aware, opposition to the gov...etc. resembles the sounds of those popular basque-radical rock bands from the 80s...but with it's very own "modern" twist. I'm literally counting down the days till i get to see la urss in the flesh (5 days to be exact). gonna be a wild time.

Maladjusted - Not Taking Our Minds

fucking hell this album is stellar. maladjusted are a 4-piece punk/hardcore band from LA. homies pair their california hardcore sound around important political themes. It's really fucking lovely to hear a band who centers their art around the importance of feminism. cont. to educate us maladjusted, we all fucking need to hear what you have to say.

wizz kids are a 4 piece hardcore/punk band from new zealand (i will admit, i get such a hard-on for bands coming out of nz) personal favorite: hybrid vigor...i'm too obsessed with the vox on this track.

well fuck, i didn't think i'd come across a band that would give me so many feels.  Mirrored lips are 2-piece punk/hardcore band from nizhiny novgorod russia. emotions are high with these two gals. ksyusha and sasha are creating the most fuzzed drenched tunes. best thing i've heard all year. personal favorite: mouth on the kiss. lyrics go like this "why i am waiting for...a mouth on the kiss"

Bruiser Queen - Bitch Fest 2015 Live

brusier queen is morgan nusbaum (guitar and vox) and jason potter (drums), based out of STL. midwest garage pop punk band. I can't remember if I've seen 'em...i could have very seen them at this show pictured above (taken at the replay lounge in Lawrence KS). this album was entirely recorded during chicago's bitchfest. sigh, i love live albums...and this one in particular is superb. 

personal fav: save me, mo's vocals on this track are incredible. sheesh, rock it gurl

ded in dog yrs are a two-piece band from calgary. DIDY is Myles Magnusson on vox and guitar / Tyler Cochrane on percussion. Long live lo fi! personal fav: wasted...such haunting vocals. If you like teen suicide, etc. you'll like these duders. in fact, wasted reminds me a lot of thee-o-so popular track salvia plath.
