Asthenia & Akallabêth - Split

Asthenia & Akallabêth probz one of the raddest splits i've come across. becasue not only is it stellar stellar post-hardcore/emo music but both bands are from different areas of the world, BUT sharing similar soundz only with their own regional twist. holy smokes duders, this split is solid. akallabeth is from the UK and asthenia is from tokyo. the split is being released by like so many awesome record labels throughout the world. dig in!

The Kneecaps - Black Hair

this will be the second time kneecaps have been on PG. what was once a three-piece is now a 4-piece...from the uk. black hair is an album that ties in every aspect of a record straight outta the 60s/garage/rock movement. my personal favorite is pain. the outro is wild...listen for yourself

Sarcasm - Total Institution

far so far records presents total institution by sarcasm. London based. Not exactly sure when the cassette will be released, so i would suggest following them on BC for updates. looking forward to it though. these mates are creating some super solid punk/post-punk tunes. my personal favorite: figure in a landscape...cause of it's intro...so twangy...like, it could easily be a bonus track on Miami (gun club) or something- ha. which is the fucking coolest thing ever. these duders are melting my heart with that track. <....3

Sievehead - Into The Blue

from sheffield uk. this is their debut album and by golly it's impressive. post-punk tungage. garage rock tunage. Surf rock tunage. it hits all the sweet spots. (well mine at least) For fans of dreamdecay, total control, etc. …sounds like all that stuff.
Personal favorite: look both ways, cuz catchy riffs, chorus, it’s been stuck in my head since the very first listen, that means something right? it does.
you can pre-order/purchase it here at evil hoodoo records...and i suggest you do so asap i imagine it selling out very fast: Sievehead - Into The Blue

Dead Arms - All The Hits

Dead arms are a four-piece noise/punk act outta London. totally am rep quality shit right here. heavy-bass riffs and screeching vocals by the lovely "general waste" as he calls himself. if jesus lizard, cows, etc. are your thang, then you'll definitely dig dead arms.

Gulags - Babushka

Artefact - Demo

Artefact is a post-punk band from Cardiff, UK. quite a refreshing take on the post-punk sound. The vocalist is really the back-bone to this band/album- dark and gloomy vocals ala siouxsie (typical comparison, i know but it's true) Great freakin' demo.

Animals & Men - To Live And Die In The West Country

Reunited and it feels so good. I think they played a handful of gigs last year or the year before (can't remember) But, Susan Wells is the shit! Home girl still got it goin' on. If you're not familiar with A & M, they formed in the uk around the 70s and went on to play up until the 80s. A & M were inspired by bands like pere ubu and fucking rad-ass garage-punk bands from the 60s, thus using that inspiration and creating a sound of their own.
(I also remember reading this article about them or it was an interview with them, i can't remember... and they referred to roky erickson (13th floor) and how they wanted to write/release a single that was just as brilliant...in hopes to change music history the way they had. I thought that was pretty interesting)
Anywho, A & M rawks.
