wrung are a badass gritty post-punk band from NYC.  my personal favorite "i can't do anything" ,,, because lately i haven't been able to do anything. its currently the soundtrack to my lazy lyfe. lucky for Wrung, they're doing everything RIGHT...because the entirety of this record is fucking RIGHTeous ;O...also where have all these bands been all my life? i swear all the killer new bands are comin' outta NYC now-a-days....good thing i'm moving there soon-ish. (score) I'd keep a close eye on these duders.

White Lines - Demo Tape

white line are a 4-piece hardcore/punk band from poughkeepsie new york. out on endless bummer records (  a fav of mine). the cassette is a whoppin' 3 bucks so you should probably get it. my personal favorite is happy place. 

also, they were on hiatus because homiez lost their drummer. if you play and live in the hudson valley area hit them up so i can have white lines back into my life.

Anasazi - Nasty Witch Rock

I didn't really know what to expect from this record considering the first track is a recording from some hip-hop vid? some 90s film? Beat Street perhaps? ;) Either way, your ears are in for a surprise. Anasazi are a post-punk 4-piece band from nyc. i originally stumbled across these guys via Sacred Bones yrs ago and haven't let them go. They definitely haven't lost their sound. Nasty Witch Rock continues to carry Anasazi's unique post-punk sound, but only it's gotten better! Much darker, louder, aggressive. Highly recommend. personal favorite: memba me, cuz it'll give you the fuckin' chills.

Hot Tip - Demo 2014

Yet another PG post about a band off of Drug Party Tapes. I repeat, please, please, check out their catalog - it's insanely good. Hot tip is a four-piece punk act from buffalo, NY and fronted by vocalist Katherine Goewey. fucking rad vocals...she will suck up your soul with the opening track. Actually, I wonder what she is chanting? It sounds demonic-is she summoning Demons? Punk Demons with leather jackets? i hope so.
